What is the benefit of fluoride? Fluoride has many adverse effects including dental fluorosis, skeletal fluorosis, weakened bones and much more. So why do we allow municipal water systems and toothpaste manufactures to use this toxin in products we consume? On every packet of toothpaste we see the “WARNING: Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, seek professional help or contact a poison control center immediately.” If fluoride has a benefit for human consumption, why such a stringent warning? Based on an analysis from March 2006, the following: “(1) There are other ways of delivering fluoride besides the water supply; (2) fluoride does not need to be swallowed to prevent tooth decay; (3) tooth decay has dropped at the same rate in countries with, and without, water fluoridation; (4) people are now receiving fluoride from many other sources besides the water supply; (5) studies indicate fluoride’s potential to cause a wide range of adverse, systemic effects; (6) since fluoridation affects so many people, “one might accept a lower level of proof before taking preventive actions.” Once again, what is the benefit of fluoride? When we share the idea that 70% of women, regardless of age, fail to reach orgasm through penetration alone; we are invariably presented with evidence that is intended to disprove those statistics. We also have to take into account that the strongest opponents to those statistics are men, and to a lesser degree, the 30% of women who (like men) have no frame of reference for ongoing struggles with orgasmic difficulties. But, while we are busy collecting evidence to negate those statistics; let's stop and ask ourselves this question: What if it is true? What if it is true that there are millions of women who continuously repress the sick feeling of inadequacy; simply because they have the erroneous belief that they are unable to reach orgasm with the same frequency and effortless ease as their male counterparts, and to have that emotional agony excerbated by the need to fake orgasm with their partner? Now let's consider this: If the above is true, and we know that women, as with men, do have an organ specifically designed for pleasure; then why would we not at least consider this organ as a possible solution to women's seeming orgasmic difficulties? If Proctor and Gamble (in conjunction with one of the country's most prominent sex therapist), can market a patch, with side effects of FACIAL HAIR, WEIGHT GAIN and INCREASED CHOLESTEROL; or, if Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals can attempt to market a pill that women would have to ingest, probably daily, with unknown side effects; then surely the clitoris must fit in there somewhere. Awareness of the structure and funciton of the clitoris can lift an unnecessary burden from the hearts and minds of millions of women, and who are we, and how can we be served, by denying them this freedom?
